My name is María and I’m addicted to doramas. Just like that, no filters. I say it like someone confessing something in a support group, because it’s basically the same. My to-watch list grows faster than I can keep up, and I’ve lost count of the times I’ve arrived at work with dark circles because of ‘just one more episode.’
It all started with a K-Drama. I don’t remember if someone recommended it to me or if it just, somehow, appeared in my life, but what I do remember is that I finished it in two days and there was no turning back.
For a while, I only watched Korean dramas because that was all I knew and what everyone recommended. Until one day, out of curiosity, I hit play on a J-Drama. Then a C-Drama. Then a Thai BL. And that’s when I thought: wait a minute, how come no one ever told me this existed?
That’s kind of the reason this blog exists. I spent too much time not knowing that beyond Korea there was a huge universe of series that would make me laugh, cry, scream, and sit staring at the screen in silence for five minutes processing an ending, and I don’t want the same to happen to you.
What you find here are my honest opinions, my personal tastes, and my eagerness to share what I discover. Sometimes you’ll agree with me, and sometimes you’ll think I’m completely crazy. Both are valid.
What I do here I write spoiler-free reviews so you can decide if something is worth your time before watching it. I make rankings that are totally personal and open to debate. I prepare guides by country and by genre for those who want to explore beyond what they already know.
